Monster in the mirror

Mirror Mirror on the wall/
Show me the monster to embrace my fall/
Claws and fangs a beast does make/
Ruthlessness and malice a soul does take/
Scary words we don’t want to hear/
But words nonetheless we should fear/
Lesson number 1 monster maketh man/
Clawing from within marking you with its Brand/
The man will be battered in the light/
It’s the monster who conquers it with its might/
With opposition crushed the man can grin/
Because his inner monster was coated in sin/
Mirror Mirror on the wall/
Show me the monster who helps me stand tall/

Light and dark are two sides of the same coin. Embrace both to live a complete life.

Media Machine

The media machine is an agent of chaos/
Truly aligned with the misaligned/
A franchise if you will that has you feasting at their kiosk/
Now with their product, your views are defined/

When there is good in the world, the machine shows you the devil/
When peace runs rampant it reminds you of a war/
You know of hate, but media takes it to the next level/
Now you feel like a battle is on your nearest shore/
Media shuns the educated in lieu of the ignorant/
You are force fed political nonsense/
Politicians result to gaining popularity instead of doing their job/
They just want your like, follow, or view but they all sound dense/
When I think about it I really want to sob/
In reality the media is the world ruler/
Politicians are nothing without its platform/
You have to be aligned with the ruler/
But your common sense will be swept up in the idiotic storm/

March 8th, 2016

2189 Days

5 years, 11 months, and 26 Days

52,536 Hours

3,152,160 minutes

They all translate to the same thing

This is how long it’s been since my heart could sing

All this time has been true Bliss

It’s like 5 years. 11 months, and 26 days of a never ending kiss

Of those 5 years, 2 of those you’ve been my wife

That moment was the real start of my life

Devin, you made me an optimist, eager to see my life unfold

Thankful for a wife with a heart of gold

For 2189 days I’ve had the most beautiful Queen

That’s 3,152,160 minutes with the most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen

So thankful that a beauty like you chose me

And helped me shed the shackles of depression and set me free

My gorgeous best friend who pushes me towards hopes and dreams

I take pride in loving you, I’m about to burst at the seams

52,536 hours I’ve loved you with all my heart

It’s been 5 years, 11 months, and 26 days of proving nothing will pull us apart

For six years I’ve known true love Thanks to you

We have overcome hardship through the power of two

I plan on spending my eternity next to you

So I’ll have plenty of chances to say I love you

Love your husband, LeTavious

Deeply passionate about life

Enhances the serenity of my life

Voluptuous and embodies femininity

Intelligence coated with intense creativity

Never has there been such a queen

Talented in so many unimaginable ways

Innovative, and changing life’s mundane days

Opulence incarnate

Marvelous in every way

Beauty that is unrivaled

Immortal is your love for those lucky to have you

Entrancing is your kiss

Heart of Gold, and the most powerful lover

Elegantly carrying yourself like no other

Mystifying me with those amazing eyes

Immovable is my heart from your grasp

Nonconformist, refusing to be contained

Glamourous diva that you are

Wife, I’m so proud to have you

Amazing that’s it’s been six years

You are definitely the light of my life

Sleep not

image

Enveloped in darkness, my conscience drifts!
Unable to sleep it’s forced to create/
Out off the black they rise/
The distractions to sleep/
I’ve tried it all even counting sheep/
But with every jump they leave a new world in its wake/
Fire, fate, even the universe at stake/
Why must I create and save world’s instead of sleep/
Even in the dead silence I just hear beep… beep/
What’s that? Another mental ruse?/
No it’s a neutron bomb I need to defuse!/
Crisis avoided, what was that noise?/
It’s the car overheating when I’m out with the boys/
The start of another adventure to be had/
Leads to the discovery of a treasure that’s bad/
Exposing the darkness in our hearts/
Darkness, where this all starts/
I’m here again diving deep/
Enveloped in darkness, counting sheep/
Focusing on my mental farm, my mind stops its shift/
Finally headed to sleep my conscience stops its drift/

Then the alarm goes off….

Supernova

image

One can’t escape the gravity of your soul/
Drawing me in consuming me whole/
Adding me to your greatness, we operate as one/
Bound through eternity, burning brighter than the sun/
A bond so unique, a way to describe it I haven’t heard/
Just saying love is too simple a word/
Yet no truer word can be said other than love/
We’ll have to create a new word as our souls soar above/
Shining bright as we go so far/
Together were a celestial event, a love star/
Our bond will only grow in power/
Until we go supernova and start an amorous meteor shower/
Becoming a gift for the heavens to see/
Astronomical is truly how I see you and me/

New Life

image

There is a life I want to touch
It’s odd, but I do oh so much
A hand that I crave to hold
A future that I wish to mold
I long to be lost in your little eyes
Show you everything under these blue skies
I haven’t met you, but I love you, it’s wild
I can’t wait to cradle you in my arms, my child
I don’t know how many years it’ll be before we meet
But I’ll love you from your head to your feet
I can’t wait to see the combination of me and my love
Little one you will be the greatest gift from above

Spectres and phantoms

image

The inner city sky is set ablaze by the firefly orbs held within/
Quiet strangled the streets/
Only faint echoes of automotive ghosts wail in the distance/
One can smell it, the sky will cry soon/
That’s when the spectre will hunt/
Cloaked in the blue Laws, he prowls/
Shining his light on all that is fowl/
Ready strike with ferocity in the night/
Full of bravado, pride, and yes fright/
Scared of what he may or may not have to do is the spectre’s life/
But his prey, the phantom, has his own strife/
He must straddle the thin line of evil and good/
Fill the flame-riddled streets with bacteria, or live peacefully misunderstood/
Some of the phantoms will spread their outbreak, sending the Spectre into a frenzy/
His fear will cause all phantoms to wear the guise of am enemy/
The misunderstood will lose their innocence/
The spectre will lose his benevolence/
And the bacteria now takes prevalence in the once peaceful inner city streets/
No longer can the phantom walk them and feel safe/
No longer can the spectre feel capable without force/
No longer quiet are our streets under the flames/
Soon the sky will cry as we deflect the fallen names/
Oh what I wouldn’t give to just have those skies set ablaze again/
One without the spectres and phantoms living in sin.
