Living History

Living History

This world is a living being

The proof is in what we’re seeing

We are under an unprecedented attack

And I don’t Know if we’ll take our win back

We’ve sponsored and spread war

Bled countries dry from shore to shore

But now we’re up against the unseen

The specter named COVID-19

At first this country took it for a joke

Now streets are vacant and our economy is about to choke

At first it was like nature sent us to our rooms

But now people are dying, this may be our doom

When will there be a cure, that is the mystery

Until then our isolation, fear and death, is our living history

Stay healthy, stay safe, stay home.

Take My Call

Hello, operator I’d like to place a call to Heaven

I want to ask Saint Peter a question, in fact I’m Begging

You see, he allowed my parents in, and I don’t know what to do

I was so unprepared for this I still try to call home at a quarter past two

Who would’ve thought I’d crave their guidance even as a grown man

Even thought they raised me up, I don’t think I’m ready to lead my own clan

I know In my heart I don’t have a choice

please Saint Peter, I want them to hear my voice

I want to tell them I love them

I want to say I need them

I want them to see their grandson, a real Phenom

I just want one more chance to say I love you to my mom

Saint Peter I beg of you, you can have my all!

Just name your fee, and accept my call!

My eyes burn from all these tears

Because my reality has become one of my greatest fears!

I’ll pray and do good deeds days 1-7

Just please take my call in heaven….

Drink to forget

Pour up the medicine to ease the pain

While listening to that Sunday rain

Simply trying to drink away the things that drive you insane

Pour it up to only sadly realize

That whiskey only intensifies your cries

That pain only perpetually lives and dies

You drink to forget, but you only remember

Now you’re getting drunk off your memories of December

Trying to deal…

Sometimes when I close my eyes, I see
Amid the darkness I’m reminded

The images won’t let me be

I’ve yet to find the strength to bind it

Some days I’m stuck in an infinite loop

Being reminded of my helplessness

It’s depressing enough to make me join a group/

But would that help my mental fitness?

I just stood there that day.

Internally screaming

I fought hard to keep tears at bay

Internally reaching

How do I completely move ahead

Part of me is still there

Part of me is dead

Now I’m emotionally volatile, is that fair?

Rain tears

Crying in the rain

Only so I can scream with the thunder

Set flames with the lightning

So my soul can be smothered with ashes

Vision clouded with the haze of storm clouds

My world shaken by deaths quake

Alive feeling like dying

Dying yet drawing breath

A part of my heart beat

My essences and my DNA

Stolen from me in a horrific way

I feel as ash is the worth of my soul

Forever feeling pain as sharp as lightning

My heart howls with the despair of thunder

As I cry in the rain

What Do You See?

thvdeeuis8

Mr. Policeman what do you see

When you see my African-American skin wrapped around the soul within me

Is something in melanin that tells some not to serve & protect?

Or is it simply a different skin tone you reject?

Do you see that I’ve been robbed?

Or do you see us committing robbery as a mob?

Can you fathom an interracial love on your surveillance tape?

Or is it just a blond haired Blue-eyed rape?

Have you seen a Negro reach for their ID?

Or do you empty your gun just cause, turning them into human debris?

Have you seen my compliance & hat I’m unarmed?

Or do you blindly abuse & murder me to save yourself from imaginary harm?

Will you ever understand why we continually protest?

Or do your eyes behold unpatriotic anarchy & civil unrest?

Do you carry the weight of a mother’s tears when her baby dies?

Or do you rejoice like the Lord answered your cries?

Can you understand that the Black has been raped by the blue?

Or is this the only way of life you see as true?

My unlabeled soul ask all you labelers I see,

Mr. Policeman, What do you see?

weakness

Weakness has gathered in the heart of thee

Exposing the human being his fragility

It’s not the Human’s fault

The universe is what puts his heart under assault

The quaking sea of our soul can’t settle with ease

Especially when it’s engorged with ripples of disease

Many a mortal have developed a cure

But the deadliest remain elusive and evil at its most pure

It’s the incurable evil that makes man want to break

Especially when it’s a loved one’s life at stake

What makes you feel weak is the inability to invoke change

This leads is what makes us psychotic and deranged

You pull your hair and scream why

Feeling like you will soon die

The truth is, the fertile weakness has birthed fear

Fear that you’ll lose something that to you is dear

Who do you turn to when you are afraid?

What do you do when you are undergoing this raid?

The only thing you can do is steel your mind

Strengthen your resolve and leave that fear behind.

Abandon the fear of not being able to do anything.

No this will not prevent the maladies fate will bring

But you can become a version of strong.

Strong enough to deal with the universe’s wrong

A strength to make you able to speak

Speak loud in protest when the universe has made you weak

The dark dank evil of the universe of the evil created diseases

But it’s the human thing to protest it and not let it do as it pleases

Angel Sweet Angel

Angel sweet angel

your love will remain with me forever

you’ve returned home but our ties did not sever

I can feel you looking down from above

with tears in my eyes, I’m still happy to have known your love

My angel sweet angel

The lord has recalled one of his best

you deserve this blissful rest

This hurt will pass, another of life’s rain

happily flap your wings knowing we’ll overcome this pain

My angel sweet angel

Just know you’ll forever be missed

because of your presence the Heaven’s have been kissed

I’m glad your soul is now with God and pain free

You’ll forever be loved and missed auntie…

Angels

image

The ranks of the angels has yet again grown/
Another sweet loved one has been called home/
Heaven has grown happier
Yet we’re yet again are in tears/
Lord I know you need your angels
But why do you have To take them so soon?/
We weren’t finished with them yet
We had more to learn
More love to give
I’ll never know their hug or kiss again
Without them I’m a wreck I don’t know where to begin/
I know you have plans/
I know how our Lord demands/
But did you have to make them an angel so soon!?/
An angel with grace on her wings/
The angelic choir yet again sings/
I should be happy, but tears are what their song brings/
I promise not to be angry forever lord/
I know you have a plan lord/
You have gained another great Angel lord/
But for now I cry why lord?/
